What are the rules associated with Licensed Slips?

A Slip License grants the Licensee certain rights to the Licensed Slip, including the right to lease the Slip on an annual basis during the term of the License. By purchasing a Slip License, the Licensee receives the following benefits associated with the Slip License:

  • The Slip License is good for the term of the Licensor’s master concession lease with Arizona State Parks, which ends in 2056.
  • The Slip License may be transferred/assigned to a third party one (1) time. A License transfer fee will apply.
  • The Licensee may utilize the Havasu Riviera Marina’s sublease program to sublease the Slip. Sublease fees will be shared 50/50 between Licensor and Licensee. Subleasing slips outside the Havasu Riviera Marina’s sublease program is strictly prohibited.
  • Increases to the annual slip lease rates may not increase on a Licensee in any given year more than 5%, or CPI (inflation rate), whichever is greater.
  • A boat lift, dock box, and other amenities will be available to Licensees to have installed on Slip. All installations of such amenities must be purchased, installed, and maintained by the Havasu Riviera Marina.
  • If Slip Licensee has not already purchased the annual Riviera Pass, they will be required to buy it in the first year. In future years the Riviera Pass will be included in the annual lease fee for all slip License holders.
